Take a car with driver if you have luggage and a hotel on the Ganga. Take a bike if you want the highway and already ride. Take a scooty only if you are staying in Dehradun and doing a cautious day trip — we will tell you if we do not like the idea.

Old town parking is the constraint. Many guests leave the car at the hotel and walk the ghats.
